Northern Black Racer
Northern Black Racer
This Northern Black Racer, (a harmless snake) was a bit disturbed when I paid him a visit at his home inside a covered bridge in Giles County, Virginia. I've got to admit, when I first saw him, I didn't know for sure if he was harmless or not. I'm not from this part of the country originally and not 100% sure about the local reptiles and the problems they are capable of causing for me. What I did know was, I was surely going to give him plenty of room if he wanted to leave. Which is exactly what he chose to do. After a quick smile for the camera, he quickly raced up the wall, and out onto the roof through a gap between two boards.
